Integrating mathematics scheme: L2

The IMS L series aims to stimulate interest in students taking an 'everyday mathematics' or 'foundation level' course, as well as those who simply need a basic understanding of number and its applications.

This series of three books has four main strands:

  • basic skills - revision and practice in estimation, mental arithmetic, shape recognition, and the use of tables
  • basic mathematical ideas and concepts
  • recreational games and puzzles which reinforce mathematical understanding
