Preparing for GCSE problem solving: developing reasoning through thinking mathematically

The (9-1) GCSE and the reformed A Levels have much greater emphasis on reasoning and problem solving and this book is designed to support teachers in preparing pupils for this. A selection of tasks have been sequenced to develop the mathematical thinking skills essential for problem solving, starting with small, fairly closed problems to a variety of investigational tasks that require reasoning and creativity.
