Democs: stem cell research

Produced by the new economics foundation (nef), this resource contains activities that help students to discuss and understand stem cell research. The materials contain teacher guidance, student information and a range of activities that promote discussion and debate.

Students use the materials to learn about stem cells, where they come from, the types of research that they are used for and go on to consider the ethical implications of their use. This allows students to gain a greater understanding of the topic as well as formulate polices and recommendations that could be made to the Government or other decision-makers.
