Coding treasure hunt

This is one of a series of resources to support the use of the BBC micro:bit. This resource focusses on pupils designing, programming and using a BBC micro:bit to find other micro:bits in a class treasure hunt.

In this activity pupils will make use of the BBC micro:bit to design and create a programmable device that can locate other micro:bits (the treasure) as quickly as possibly during a class treasure hunt. They will analyse a design brief and design criteria before taking one of two routes through the activity; either designing and producing the programming themselves or using a pre-written program that they can download straight onto their device or edit as they go through.
