Preservatives

This resource can be used to investigate how preservatives destroy or slow down the growth of microbes in food products. Different methods of food preservation are identified in a worksheet based activity then separate investigations look at the conditions necessary for the growth of microbes and the effects of using a variety of preservatives on the storage of peas.
