Wild and Wonderful Creatures

This resource contains six activities that link to animals including humans, they are designed for use with mixed age groups classes of Year 1 and 2. Activities include:

  • identifying and sorting different animals based on observable characteristics

  • creating a desert island, to prompt ideas about what humans need for survival

  • finding out about the basic needs and habitats of some wild animals

  • researching the habitats, offspring and basic needs of African animals and make a safari in a tray

These activities have been provided by Hamilton Trust as part of their mixed age group science lessons.
