Delivery Guidance Handbook for STEM Ambassadors

This guide will help volunteers working in schools to effectively support Cisco Little Big Futures project work. It covers:

  • The curriculum context for STEM subjects in the age range 11-14
  • Information about how Little Big Futures can be integrated into STEM Clubs
  • Guidance for effective presentations, and other tips for working with young people in a classroom environment such as questioning techniques and group work structures
  • Ways to bring careers information and personal experience into sessions, adding value and helping students to identify with careers in IoT-related workplaces.

To help ambassadors in lessons across Computing, Maths, D&T and Science, the guide contains background information supplementing the teacher resources found here. This will help you orient your knowledge and skills to the students ensuring they, and you, get maximum benefit from the engagement.
