Design an app or website

In this challenge students are asked produce a 10 minute presentation about either

  •  their proposed app either designed to support a sport or STEM related event taking place at their school or to promote STEM in their school or local area

or

  • design a website for a disabled sportsperson to help raise the profile of the sportsperson and their sport to motivate more young disabled people to get involved in sport.

Students do not need to build their website or ap but they should use their imagination in creating what they, as a team, feel would be the ideal solution. Innovation is the key. However, it might be useful to have some knowledge of apps and a good understanding of social media and web-based technologies, to get them started.

Students should work in teams of 4-6 and the STEM Challenge is designed to take approximately 6-8 school weeks.
