Session Seven: Increase the Challenge - Creating New Python Variables, Incrementing Variables.
This activity goes further into Python programming by expanding the range of repetition and selection commands used. Students also practice debugging of code.
Variables are explained before making use of incremented variables to solve challenges in Python.
Other programming practices, including correct indentation, comments and the importance of syntax are covered.
A useful variables help sheet is included, as are cut-out code blocks. Keywords and phrases can also be printed for wall displays.
Guidance for teachers explains where the activity sits within the sequence, and includes model solutions to all challenges. Assessment guidance, including self-assessment, is provided.
