Nuffield Maths 1: Teacher's Handbook

This resource, from Nuffield Foundation, provides clear guidance on the content, methods and timing appropriate at each stage of the Nuffield Maths 5 - 11 project, which was developed to promote students' understanding of the concepts, as well as proficiency in the basic skills of mathematics.

The chapters in this handbook provide practical suggestions for teaching number, measurement and shape, using activities suitable for children with a wide range of abilities and backgrounds. Ideas for making worksheets, work-cards, charts, and models are also included, together with suggestions of how to deal with student's difficulties.
