Muscles - Using a Longbow
Produced by Teachers TV as part of their Lesson Starters series, this clip shows how muscles work in pairs, relaxing and contracting to cause movement of bones. An archer fires an arrow demonstrating movement of the arms and shoulders. This clip is suitable for use when learning about moving and growing. The video ends with a question asking where else in the body pairs of muscles can be found, which prompts further classroom discussion.
