History of Maths

He discusses the origins of algebra, the introduction of metric measurements and the controversy provoked by negative numbers, which some of the best known mathematicians in history struggled with. Matthew also explains how the use of geometry in ancient Greece led to the development of rigorous mathematical proofs based on logical thinking.
