It looks at the topic of disease prevention by the body’s own natural defences. A detailed presentation and animations showing how the body fights harmful microbes on a daily basis is also included.  The resource considers:

  • mucus and tears as a barrier to infection.
  • non-specific immunity as white blood cells phagocytose pathogens
  • production of antibodies in specific immunity
