Independent Employer Forums
Produced by the Learning Skills Improvement Service (LSIS), this case study looks t the theme of knowledge and technology transfer. Produced by Pera, it reviews a controlled process of informed communication and engagement between local providers and businesses across South Oxfordshire.
An employer forum brought local employers together and enabled them to identify their needs and issues regarding education and training. These were both specific to their individual businesses and generic across all businesses. It enabled employers to communicate clearly with training providers.
By establishing the forum, its members could engage with providers and agencies across the region whilst avoiding being continually contacted by a long list of providers.
