CPD - Developing Learner Feedback
Produced by the Learning Skills Improvement Service (LSIS), this case study tackles the themes of harnessing technology and continued professional development. This project was set up to develop effective ways of collecting and reviewing student evaluation in Hillcroft College, a London Further Education college. Various channels for feedback were trialled including the traditional paper questionnaires, online surveys and a video diary room, with varying levels of success. The project aimed to: • explore evaluation methods and meaning • find meaningful ways of gathering and responding to evaluation feedback from learners • reflect on why evaluation feedback may sometimes be poorly gathered or managed, or treated as a challenge rather than an opportunity for development.
