An Early Start to Energy

This book in the Early Start series, published in 1992, concerns the concept of energy, a difficult one for young children. The book enables children to gather the experiences needed in the early years to help the later grasp of the concept. The activities in this book cover the energy components of the National Curriculum for the whole primary school years. The early pages describe different forms of energy, ways of generating power, and how to measure force and energy. Although containing some activities, they are intended mainly as information pages. The rest of the book primarily concentrates on providing experiences which help to develop understanding of light, heat, sound, electricity and magnetism, giving additional information as necessary.
