Geometry games for the classroom

A Photocopiable Resource. Setting up games in the classroom can be time consuming in terms of preparation but with this collection photocopiable geometry games much of the preparation is already done. By playing games pupils can be introduced to new, and sometimes quite hard, concepts in ways that are fun and thought provoking. The games are suitable for a whole class and collaborative groups, where the pupils work in pairs and they can be used with pupils from Year 6 upwards. The structure of many games will have a familiar theme but they have been given a new twist so that the players are engaged with working mentally in an interesting and challenging way. The geometry topics include: angles, triangles, quadrilaterals, and polygons.
