Science education in the 21st century

Science Education in the 21st Century is written by national and international science educators and deals with key aspects of the current debates surrounding the teaching of science, including: the place of science in society; the use of new technology; science education for students with special educational needs; science and gender.

The contributors also consider the advances that have been made in the methods of teaching and learning in the natural sciences and reflect on the widespread concern over the public image and perception of science. - - The book provides a critical analysis of science education as it currently exists and a carefully considered and imaginative view of it in the next millennium.
