STEM learning

We are excited to announce that we have launched a range of summer schools that will take place in August, designed specifically for new and recently qualified teachers or those who have little or no experience in teaching a particular subject.

These will span all key stages and cover a range of topics, including creating an engaging science lesson for students, in-depth support around practical work and concepts that underpin A level mathematics.

Courses will be delivered either online or through a combination of remote and face-to-face sessions at the National STEM Learning Centre in York, and if you are a state-maintained school in England you will be eligible for a bursary on our science and computing courses, which can be used towards travel, science equipment or further CPD.

We understand that during this time participating in face-to-face training may seem daunting. Safety remains our absolute priority and you can be rest assured that we will be following the Government guidelines and putting the necessary measurements in place to ensure that we create a safe learning environment for everyone.

We’ve published flyers for each summer school which provide a summary of the course and what you can expect to achieve. Click the links below to download and share with your colleagues.

Summer schools form only part of our offer for teachers, so make sure you take some time to look through our extensive selection of resources and online CPD, all of which are completely free for everyone to access, plus our range of remote science courses.
