STEM-X Launch Prize
Design an experiment to be conducted in microgravity by Astronauts onboard the International Space Station! Under the guidance of NASA Astronauts, Space Scientists and World-Renowned Professors, your goal is to design an experiment that could benefit humanity on or off the planet. With the help from our brilliant NASA role models, you will prepare your idea and upload it online. Five experiments will be selected and launched to the ISS on a SpaceX Rocket. You have until October 31st 2021 to submit your entry.
Prize for the winning five experiments:
• Fly to Florida’s NASA Kennedy Space Centre
• Stay in the 5-star luxury JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes hotel
• Build your experiment with Astronauts and Space Scientists at NASA
• Watch your experiment launch to the ISS on a SpaceX Rocket LIVE
• Get tickets to a VIP launch experience
• Your experiment will be conducted by Astronauts aboard the ISS
• The results will be sent back down to Earth for analysis with our team
• $2,000.00 spending money for you and your friends
• Tickets to 2 of Orlando’s world-famous Theme Parks

As an individual or in a team of up to 3 people, your challenge is to design an experiment to better life for humanity on or off the planet

Your hypothesis should explain why microgravity is important to your experiment

It has to be an original idea

Each student will receive and access an elite information pack built by Space Scientists and Astronauts

There is an opportunity for private online mentoring sessions with our team of experts to help you perfect your design

Guidance from a team of NASA Astronauts

A certificate to show successful completion of the challenge. Once you’re happy with your design, we need to see it. You can upload a written project, video or a presentation

Finally, your experiment must have a benefit to humanity, whether it is for future space travel or for us folks back down here on earth

Schools that have enrolled to date have either funded the programme for some of their students or offered it out to students who pay to join the programme or a combination of the two approaches
