Reception & KS1: Imagine what it would be like to go to a hot tropical rainforest, a desert or even head up the North pole. Delight in the sights, sounds, smells and sensations of different environments, find out about the animals that live here and find out what we can do to help save the world!
KS2: An immersive show about our amazing planet Earth. Build food webs, see how animals are adapted to their environments and discuss deforestation and the greenhouse effect? See how the choices we make affect our environment both locally and globally.
We want to stimulate curiosity in science for all, regardless of age, gender, background or ability. Our science shows:
- Allow for questions to share interests and explore ideas
- Treat every child as unique, supporting personal development
- Promote observation, prediction and exploration
- Encourage imagination, creative and critical thinking
- Support and enhance the Curriculum across subject areas
The STEM Directory is provided as a service to support you in finding enrichment opportunities. The activities are offered by external providers and are not endorsed by STEM Learning. We are not responsible for their content or delivery.
Grants for school
The Royal Institution runs two enrichment and enhancement grant schemes. Grants of up to £500 are available to UK-registered state schools to host a STEM activity selected from the STEM Directory.
There are a number of other organisations that offer grants to schools.
