Grandmother Fish (illustrated book)

This illustrated book aims to help young children access the concepts around evolution and natural selection. It takes a look at Charles Darwin’s theory of common descent through sounds and motions that imitate animals, showing how humans are related in form and function to the non-human animals that came before us. Also included in the book is a child-friendly version of the Tree of Life, notes on how to explain evolution and natural selection to children including common misconceptions and how to prevent them developing.

This book has been provided by Jonathan Tweet.
