Investigating if Plants Grow Better with Fertiliser
This resource, aimed at primary level, helps to develop an understanding of what plants need to grow well. It provides an opportunity to plan and carry out a fair test looking at the effect of fertilizer on growing radishes. It includes detailed notes on setting up and carrying out the activity and on ways of measuring and interpreting the results. A ‘plant’ planning sheet is provided along with a giant plant planning sheet suitable as a teaching aid when looking at how to set up a fair test.
Produced by Science and Plants for schools (SAPS), it is one of a series of resources written to support plant science in the Primary Curriculum.
