Course Book 1
The Young Scientist Investigates Course Book 1 comprises 12 units of work, grouped under three concept headings: living things; structures, forces and energy; and change. Each unit is a series of double-page spreads relating to the topic. For instance the unit on fruit and vegetables has spreads on ‘vegetables’, ‘growing vegetables’, 'new vegetables from old’, and ‘fruits’. At the end of each unit there is a spread on ‘checking’ which asks questions, suggests further activities and provides a list of ‘what every young scientist should know’ about the topic of the unit.
