Nuffield Advanced Chemistry: Topics 1 to 12 *suitable for home teaching*
The Nuffield Advanced Chemistry students’ books were not intended to be conventional textbooks, or background books, or books of data. The books were deliberately left in many ways incomplete. The aim was to provide students with a series of starting points from which to explore the chemistry at advanced level. Students were expected to supplement the books by referring to other resources including the Book of Data and textbooks.
The Teachers’ Guides listed the objectives of each section, gave suggested teaching approaches and provided technical details on all the practical work.
