Episode 508: Preparation for the Radioactivity Topic

This topic from the Institute of Physics, allow students to explore the topic of radiation. There are a series of learning episodes, each being a self-contained unit of learning that takes typically one or two lessons.

This topic will give students the opportunity to:

1. work safely with laboratory sources of ionising radiation.

2. understand the processes of radioactive decay.

3. use standard notation to represent nuclear processes.

4. solve problems involving half-life and exponential decay equations.
