Summary

One day face to face professional learning at SSERC in Dunfermline, followed by a gap task, culminating in a remote learning session. The course will include a variety of activities to develop knowledge, skills and confidence in teaching about the human body at First and Second Level.  With a focus on the Biological Systems Organiser within CfE, we will explore activities which could be used to help to meet a range of Es and Os across First and Second Level.  Delegates will receive resources to take back to their settings to support teaching and learning.

Experiential learning through practical workshops and collaborative discussion during one face-to-face day, gap task and online collaboration including evaluation and reflection

  • take part in experiential learning with a range of practical activities to enhance learning in the classroom
