Summary

Would you like to develop your understanding of how to embed working scientifically in your Early Years setting? This short online course will introduce you to some key strategies!

You will explore a range of practical ideas linked to the EYFS framework that will enable you to plan and facilities learning opportunities in science. You will develop your pedagogy knowledge to support the development of effective practical science activities and how to support learning. You will also consider some common misconceptions and how to address these.

  • Develop their own subject knowledge and to help address children’s misconceptions.
  • Identify how working scientifically is developed in EYFS through characteristics of effective learning (CoEL)
  • Describe how working scientifically helps children develop conceptual knowledge.
