Summary

Join us in York for our inaugural SEND Science Conference, where we will explore the distinctiveness of each of the three main stages of education within special schools:

  • Pre-formal: often non-verbal and well below age expectations
  • Semi-formal: Early years
  • Formal: Year 2 upwards

We will focus on three main aspects:

  • Theoretical background to the stages
  • Sample activities for each stage
  • Curriculum overview and planning

Expert speakers will share their first-hand experience of excellent provision, in what promises to be an inspiring and informative day.
