Transition Project - Invite only NB220 / B22
Summary
This course is to support teachers in both primary and secondary with the most effective transition for their Year 6 to 7’s. As well as delving into subject knowledge and pedagogy, there will be a focus on practical skills and contexts used by both phases, as well as identifying areas that students find tricky or struggle to apply.
We will utilise good practice and exemplars that will help teachers plan for even better transition, as well as allowing time for discussions around what works well in their school, and individual areas of challenge. Additional ways to assess student understanding will be covered, as well as how effective working scientifically skills can be used to tease out levels of understanding of core concepts.
