Summary

This online network supports science teachers who are at the beginning of their teaching career journey, providing them with an opportunity to share their experiences and learn from each other.  
Each half termly meeting will cover aspects of teaching that new Science teachers find most challenging, aligned to the Early Career Framework and teachers' standards.  Meetings will also provide opportunities for Q&A regarding future career progression options, as well as input from the STEM ambassador hub, IOP and RSC.

The fee is an annual subscription per teacher (discounts available for MATs and schools who wish to subscribe more than one teacher, please contact us at slp.admin@hertsandessex.herts.sch.uk

Who is the course leader?

Outcomes

Individual network meetings will have their own outcomes, specific to the content being covered. The network meetings will aim to:

  • exemplify aspects of the Early Career framework
  • provide participants with tools and strategies to deliver science effectively
  • inform participants of the underpinning research and evidence as to why particular strategies are effective
  • support participants through being part of a community
