Summary
With an increased emphasis in the new curriculum, many teachers find it challenging to incorporate problem solving effectively. This one day CPD activity will explore pedagogies which support children in their approach to problem solving and provide a range of ideas and resources to use in the classroom.
Outcomes
Participants will be able to:
- Explore pedagogies to support problem solving in primary mathematics
- Develop methods for using manipulatives and models to enhance mathematical understanding
- Access a wide variety of ideas and easily adaptable resources to support problem solving
- Explore the wealth of resources freely available on the STEM Learning website
