Summary

This is a two day course. Day 1 is on 11 November 2019 and Day 2 is on 05 February 2020.

The facilitator development programme is our flagship approach to recruiting and developing suitable facilitators for a teacher and school-led national CPD programme.

This second stage builds on the skills developed through stage one, and will help you move from co-delivery within a CPD activity, to leading and developing CPD yourself. You will learn how to use and embed pedagogical content knowledge, and work as an effective coach on a one-to-one basis. You will also learn to plan and develop effective strategies through the consultancy cycle.

It is aimed at those who have done stage one, and built up experience of CPD facilitation locally.

Please contact enquiries@stem.org.uk for more information.

Outcomes

You will be able to:

  • Use data to plan and develop an action plan for support
  • Use the consultancy cycle to set, support and exit consultancy work
  • Adapt CPD to meet the specific needs of a group
  • Facilitate online CPD
