Summary
Are you a new or recently established primary science leader? Would you like to know how to support pupils learning in science?
If so this is the course for you!
This innovative course combines the development of primary science expertise with the strategies to effectively lead science in your school. Through practical subject knowledge workshops, you will develop your understanding of how children learn in science. You will also be introduced to strategies to initiate and lead change in your school.
This CPD activity will help you develop the skills and knowledge to become an effective primary science subject leader. You will develop the confidence to change the way that science is taught in your school and enrich your own subject knowledge in science.
This is a residential course, fees include meals and accommodation for the duration of the course.

Outcomes
You will be able to:
- develop your primary science expertise and implement a whole school vision for science
- lead improvement in the quality of science teaching and learning within your school
- develop a deep understanding of the scientific concepts within the primary science curriculum
- monitor provision of science, pupil’s progress and contribute to the strategic development of learning in school
