Past participant
Teachers who would like to learn how to use computing and digital technology will leave this course with the confidence and inspiration to use a range of technologies in science.
You will explore opportunities to embed the new computing programmes of study within science and identify the potential to motivate and enhance attainment through this cross-subject approach. You will leave this course enthused and motivated to make the most of the technologies available and use this to enrich learning in primary science.
This course includes an online component to extend and embed your CPD. It will provide you with support whilst back at school and enable you to collaborate with others and to share experiences and resources. You will receive support to enable you to complete your action plan or gap task and you will also be able to access the online learning community after this period. The online component is an integral part of the course and has been included in the fee and the associated ENTHUSE Award. Normal terms and conditions apply.
This is a residential course, fees include meals and accommodation for the duration of the course. Course fees vary for participants outside the UK. Please contact enquiries@slcs.ac.uk for more information.
Outcomes
You will be able to:
- identify progression in the use of computing and digital technologies in science
- use needs analysis and create an action plan to lead whole school change
- develop the use of new technologies across the science curriculum
