Summary

Effective curriculum design is essential to support outstanding teaching and learning. Classroom teachers and heads of science will be able to explore different ways of integrating effective schemes of learning into their departments. Effective subject knowledge, well-planned, embedded practical skills and assessment opportunities can help specialist and non-specialist teachers alike.

This course will encourage departments to take a wide-ranging view of their teaching and with support from curriculum experts, will enable them to develop their departments further.

This is a residential course, fees include meals and accommodation for the duration of the course.

Outcomes

You will be able to:

  • explore a range of curriculum designs for secondary science
  • identify good practice in science curriculums
  • map their own curriculums to suit their own schools needs
