Summary

An afternoon based around STEM subject for year 5 girls in our ENTHUSE Partnership primary schools. Encouraging girls to explore STEM subjects as choices in secondary school. Students will meet STEM Ambassadors and scientists to hear about the subject options available in industry. Engineers will be working with students to build an experimental 'bobsleigh' that will be tested afterwards.

Outcomes

You will be able to:

  • encourage under-represented groups, especially girls, to take up STEM subjects
  • explore the option of engineering to promote excitement in this field of work
  • use engineering skills to build a science project through teamwork
