Using iPads, Chromebooks and other tablet devices in the primary classroom TY015 / C17

This course is a guide to using your tablet device in the classroom. It is suitable for teachers, teaching assistants and technicians who are looking to make better use of their iPad, Chrome book, Android or Windows based device.

Over the two days we will explore a range of uses for your device in the classroom. We encourage you to bring the device that you will be using in school to the course, and the National STEM Learning Centre will provide you with an iPad for use throughout the course with additional apps required for sessions where necessary.

During the course we will explore how mobile technology is used inside and outside of the classroom, providing time for you to familiarise yourself with the device, its potential applications and its teaching capabilities. We will provide clear demonstrations and opportunities to gain hands-on practice with your device, supporting your learning with our experienced mobile device practitioners.

For those who wish to use their own device on the course, please ensure that it has the facility to charge during the course, can connect to the internet via our in house wifi service and that it has the required apps installed prior to the course starting (a list of apps will be provided at least three weeks before the event starts).

This is a residential course, fees include meals and accommodation for the duration of the course.
