Summary
Do you want to work more closely with students in your school or college, assisting in practical sessions or even running demonstrations, small group lessons and STEM clubs? If you do this course could be for you. The technicians in the classroom course has been designed for technicians to advance their skills and confidence when dealing with students. Through interactive session we explore the necessary skills and knowledge to make technicians effective demonstrators and deliverers.
This course will examine and explore in detail: what makes good practical work, working effectively with teachers and students, effective presentations and demonstrations, communication skills, managing behaviour and assisting with practical work including managing small groups, creating lessons and helping individuals with practical activities.
This is a residential course, fees include meals and accommodation for the duration of the course. Course fees vary for participants outside the UK. Please contact enquiries@stem.org.uk for more information.
