Assessing, moderating and tracking primary mathematics MY032 / A17
Summary
How can you combine conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, reasoning and problem solving to accurately assess performance in mathematics?
With the standardised levels of assessment removed and a focus on a deep sustainable learning of mathematics, measuring attainment of your children across the curriculum requires a secure understanding of how to assess factual and procedural knowledge and develop progression in reasoning and problem solving.
This course will support those who are looking to secure positive assessment practices in primary mathematics. Starting with assessment theories, we will investigate different methodologies for making judgements on progress, and develop decision making around appropriate next steps for learning.
This is a residential course, fees include meals and accommodation for the duration of the course. Course fees vary for participants outside the UK. Please contact enquiries@stem.org.uk for more information.
