Summary

The conference will focus on strategies, ideas and activities to capture children’s natural curiosity, develop their skills and approaches when working scientifically and enhance their independence. The keynote speech will outline what is important and offer simple ideas and suggest small changes that can be made to current practice to help ensure that children work as scientists. The day will end with an update session to ensure subject leaders are informed about the latest developments including curriculum, assessment and Ofsted.

Resources will be available to take away on the day.

The Workshops will focus on:

  • encouraging children to raise questions
  • supporting children’s lines of enquiry
  • interpreting findings
