Primary D&T: Leading an effective design and technology curriculum

Welcome to the course!

I'll be leading the course at the National STEM Learning Centre in York. My background is teaching in KS1 and KS2, followed by advisory work with Shropshire LA and now I'm a freelance consultant. I'm also the Lead Primary Consultant for the D&T Association.

Before Day 1 of the course, which is on Thursday 23rd June, please could you carry out a short pre-course task. Linked to this post is a personal skills audit in Word. Please could you download it and complete it in order to help identify your own CPD needs in primary D&T. Hopefully, this should be a fairly quick process. Think about your own level of subject knowledge and confidence in relation to each aspect of the subject listed and rate it on the 1 to 4 scale. Pick out the top three priorities for your own CPD and then think about what you'll need to develop in these areas. Please bring your completed audit to the course.
