Summary
A one-day genetics and genomics CPD workshop for teachers. The day will include a series of talks from expert speakers on subjects relevant to the WJEC AS/A level biology curriculum (topics include cancer genetics, current developments in crop biotechnology including gene editing, cystic fibrosis and antibiotic resistance, biodiversity and conservation, stem cells), followed by a hands-on bioinformatics session and a tour of the laboratory facilities.
Teachers will also have a presentation on medical sciences at Swansea University.
