I qualified as a teacher in 1999 and am currently a Year 4 class teacher and a member of SLT with responsibility for curriculum development at Grenoside Primary School, where I have been since 2008. I lead science across the school.
For the last three years, I have been seconded for one day a week to STEM Learning as the South and East Yorkshire Science Learning Partnership Co-Lead (primary) where I arrange CPD events, run networks and make links with as many schools and teachers as I can to help support science teaching and learning.
I also teach as an associate lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University on the Year One Undergraduate QTS course to help increase their teaching capacity and prove that there are some primary school teachers above the age of 30 still teaching!
