I learnt to program in 1974. Studied physics degree. After some years writing process control software to run steel plant spent 15 years teaching physics, with some maths, computing and electronics in secondary schools with the last 8 years at Welbeck Defence Sixth Form College.

Returning to Industry to write programs to support the engineering design of jet turbines after a few years started the company Ischus Limited providing software consultancy to Engineering establishments and Archaeology groups.

Since leaving teaching I have supported schools with lesson ideas and extra curricula activities in computing and science including teaching Amateur Radio courses to students from 10 years old in order for them to gain a licence to transmit.

In the last four years I have worked with Ideas4Careers to help them to provide effective and relevant courses in Schools to aid students to understand how to prepare for employment.

For several years I have aided a school in its Greenpower project.
