We support schools and colleges through professional development activities, the provision of quality ensured teaching resources, online networking groups and community developed resources.
Subject specific CPD
Through the National STEM Learning Centre in York, Science Learning Partnerships across England, SSERC in Scotland, Techniquest in Wales and Education Authority Northern Ireland, we provide high impact, bursary supported professional development for schools and colleges that improves subject, pedagogical and leadership skills and knowledge for people working in STEM education.
We work with schools, colleges, academy chains and other groups to identifying and provide CPD activities matched to individual needs either directly from our programme of courses, or tailored to meet specific requirements.
We house the UK's largest set of online and physical resources to support the teaching of STEM subjects. This collection has been built since 2008 and includes resources from publishers, industry partners and the wider education community.
To help build a community of support for those active in STEM education we have a range of online community groups. These groups are free to join and use and allow participants to share questions, solutions, ideas and resources to improve teaching and learning.
