School visits to RHS Gardens
All four RHS Gardens offer free school visits led by a dedicated Education Officer that can bring any curricular subject to life. Schools can also carry out self-guided tours of the sites. School visits place children in direct contact with a wealth of practical horticulture, specialist knowledge and the sheer beauty and range of plant diversity. It is an ideal way to increase their interest and enthusiasm for growing plants.
The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) is the UK’s leading gardening charity. The RHS is committed to engaging children with the natural world of the garden and inspiring understanding of science. Each garden offer a variety of activities throughout the year. The four RHS Gardens are as follows:
