Pie Chart Puzzles
This activity is a set of five puzzles relating to pie charts. The first three puzzles can be solved without the use of algebra. Each of the remaining two puzzles require students to write then solve a linear equation involving fractions. Students who complete the five puzzles are encouraged to write similar puzzles for others to solve. The resource includes a student hand out, teachers' notes and answers. There is also a further puzzle which could be used as a worked example if students have difficulty in being able to start. It is part of the Churchill Maths Activities collection.
