Allergy Adventures Workshop – Lesson 1: What is a food allergy? (KS2)
Everything you need to run a lesson about food allergies with your class for children aged 7-11 (KS2). Resource is also available for children aged 5-7 (KS1). Children learn the top 14 allergens and discover why these innocent-looking foods can cause big problems to someone with a food allergy. Get the whole class turning into super-sleuths for this lesson and hunt down common allergens in food. Children learn how to scan an ingredient label for allergens, and discover the weird places where they can hide!
A short educational video has also been created to support the lesson resources. Click here to view the lesson videos and to see the workshop in action.
