This is a video of a presentation entitled "A Career in Engineering" which runs for 17 minutes. The aim with the presentations is to inform students that a career in engineering is of value to society as well as the individual and that it is a profession with intellectual challenges and opportunities. Some of the topics discussed are “What is Engineering?” “Is Science Important?” “What Types of Engineers are there?” “Where Do Engineers Work?”. It also covers a brief history of energy and asks questions about the future of energy. This should be suitable for secondary school pupils but has also been viewed by primary pupils about to move to seconadry education.
